It’s a slippery slope, America. It’s only a matter of time before revolution happens if you start taking away the people’s bacon!!!

The idea of your life being a book is not something new. I’m not going to express any truly original thought in this brief text, but I’m going to type away none the less. If our lives are books, I’m really becoming more and more aware of the different chapters that make up that book. I think we all grasp that we have no idea where the book is going to end up, but I think I naively think I have some inkling of what direction the chapters are heading. I don’t, though. I’m not normally even close. I often feel I’m in some sort of second person novel, and at the end of the chapter I have to choose which way to go. When I follow the instructions to turn the page to the chapter that corresponds with that choice, often immediately I panic and think I’ve made the wrong decision. In life, though, typically you can’t go back and choose a different path.
I’ve had many chapters so far in life. The last ten years chapters have been high school, college (a very short chapter), my “big break” chapter, the long winded Minutes Too Far chapter, and as of recent, the ending of the Apple chapter. I’ve quit my job for two parallel stories. One is going back to school after an eight year long Christmas break, and the other is marriage. Today I still found myself thinking of Apple as a place I’d be at tomorrow (mostly because right now, it just feels like I had two days off in a row is all). As I showed up for school today all the feelings of “what am I doing here came rushing over me and I panicked and thought I’d made a horrible decision.
The thing is, I have no idea how this school chapter is going to work out, but I’m not concerned with it. I’m absolutely sure that if it doesn’t, some other exciting chapter will pop up. Oh! Actually, I really hope it’s a pop up book. That would be great. The 3D craze is all the rage right now.
Here’s the lake trip video embeded using Vimeo. I’m starting to get the hang of the internets.
Video soon to follow…
I realize it’s been over a year, but here’s a song from the final Minutes Too Far show.
